Care for the clothes you keep

A slower routine for washing, drying and storing your everyday favourites.

Looking after clothing starts with its care label. Fibre blends, dyes and trims can need different treatment, so use the instructions on the garment before any general advice.

Pause before washing

If a piece is still clean, airing it between wears may be enough. Treat a small mark according to the care label, testing any suitable cleaning product on an inconspicuous area first.

Give drying a little space

Follow the label for washing temperature and drying method. When flat drying is recommended, reshape the garment gently and support its weight on a clean surface. Avoid hanging a heavy wet knit by its shoulders.

Store with tomorrow in mind

Put clothing away clean and completely dry. Fold knitwear that stretches on a hanger, leave breathing room on your rail, and check loose buttons or small seam openings before they become larger repairs. A little attention now makes your favourites easier to reach for again.
